“A good pal introduced me to fragrances and it took me a while to get fully immersed. Buying a full bottle of Sartorial was my initiation and my undoing. Now I'm hooked.I love it. It's so versatile. Great in winter and fall, but also works in summer or spring. I feel so refined when I put on my suit and spray this on.It lasts a long time. The longevity and projection are no joke. It's not such a compliment puller like a more amber or floral scent but it's appreciated for sure. Definitely one of my favorite Penhaligon scents.”
“One of the best barbershop fougere fragrances, which is so manly, so classy, but performance, in terms of longevity, is quite sad. It barely lasts 3 hours on skin, and maybe just about 6 hours on clothing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to create eau de parfum, or parfum version, with far better performance?”
“I like it it is nice smells good but very weak honestly for the price Tom Ford Beau De Jour is very similar smell but it is beast mode in terms of silage and longevity for the same price .. .generally if you like Fougere style then make no mistake Houbigant Fougère Royale is the best out there.”

Sillage
The clone simplifies Sartorial's elaborate base, omitting notable components like gurjan balsam, myrrh, oakmoss, and the metallic accords that give the original its distinctive character. Longevity and projection are likely reduced, with a cleaner, more linear progression compared to the original's complex development.

Sillage
The clone likely lacks the depth of the original's beeswax-myrrh-oakmoss accords and the subtle aldehydic shimmer that creates Sartorial's crystalline quality. Longevity and sillage may also be moderately reduced compared to the original's robust performance.
