“So this is interesting. I bought the Maison Alhambra clone for Godolphin and it is amazing. It is like fizzy fruit champagne drenched over leather. I purchased Godolphin thinking it would be even better and more refined than the clone. Not the case.Godolphin is a mid performer, and the fruity saffron opening is ok but doesn't last. In the clone, the champagne fruity fizz lasts all the way to the dry down and you smell like a million bucks.”

“It smells good, great even, I might say... but it's not worth it. It's not about the money; if you have tons of money, buy them all and quit collecting. It's about the juice inside the bottle and the price point. It costs USD 330 for 125ml on Jomashop. You can get Tuscan Leather and two Montale fragrances for that price. You could get Ombre Leather and a Xerjoff for that price. Parfums de Marly and Initio Parfums are not worth it. I'm going to use the rest I have, and I'm not buying again. I prefer my Ombre Leather Parfum.”

“It is a good fragrance. When it comes to the money it just isn't worth it. There is a ton of other great unique fragrances out there that you can get. If you like the combination of sweet and faint leather this a great fragrance, but if you want something bold and daring, this isn't for you. It is your typical PDM in longevity and sillage though. Overall, this depends on your scent preference, but I would not blind buy it. Try a sample and give a few tries before you make a judgement because the opening and dry down are very different!”
