Explorer Extreme

“This doesn't smell bad but to my nose it's a little too synthetic for my liking with an ambroxin overdose. I really enjoy the original, too bad the performance isn't great with that fragrance. I think they tried to make the performance better but sacrificed on the overall scent quality. You can definitely see the sauvage elixir and aventus absolute combo with AA coming out mostly in the opening, and the dry down leaning more SE. I do like the far dry down of this fragrance though, as the ambroxin tapers down a bit.”

“Love at first sniff, and last sniff. This one exceeded my expectations. I'm a fan of the original Explorer, but I neverlovedit. It's a nice, easy wear, but it never went beyond that for me. This one though, wow. It smells much more luxurious than its price point. I haven't smelled Savauge Elixir, so I can't compare, but either way, this smells great. I don't smell much of the original Explorer until the drydown where I do get some similarities, but this is definitely its own fragrance. Montblanc knocked this one out of the park.”

“It’s a toned-down clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir, featuring the leather notes from the original Montblanc Explorer and lacking the lavender notes found in Sauvage Elixir.It’s less aggressive than Sauvage Elixir but still has a strong lasting power (it is called "Extreme" for a reason!).It has no similarity to Creed Absolu Aventus (except for the general Sauvage Elixir vibe 😊). While Montblanc Explorer OG is often called a Creed Aventus clone (actually it’s not, except right after you spray it), this one is NOT a Creed Absolu Aventus clone at all.”
