“Never tried the cologne but did have Zara's Sunrise. Very similar to Zara in the opening but less sweet. More fresh, clean and zesty. Does have a much more refined and higher quality feel. Dry down is smooth, creamy and becomes more similar to LV Imagination. Good substitute and should fill the void of LV for a better price. Not to take anything away from it, it is a fantastic warm weather scent, casual and semi-formal. WORTH A BUY!”
“Although this is very similar to L'homme Ideal Cologne, I don't find it to be quite as good as that. This has the grapefruit/citrus turned up and the almond toned down compared to its discontinued predecessor. I don't pick up much neroli at all. Performance is about the same as the Cologne. Moderate longevity & sillage on my skin. I'm glad that I sampled this first. It's enjoyable but not full bottle worthy imo. I loved Ideal Cologne, and this one doesn't quite get me there.”
“Shame this was only a limited release! Delphine Jelk has done the discontinued Guerlain Ideal Cologne justice. Dry down is almost identical to the original Cologne but the initial blast is better blended with that Grapefruit blast amped up. I do find the longevity to be a bit longer to the Cologne as well. I have 5 back ups of the Cologne when it was discontinued and it was cheap but should have bought a back up bottle of this! Overall 10/10 and king of summer freshies. LV Imagination could only dream being this well crafted.”
