“Atrocious opening. Drydown is very pleasent. An oud lover will like this but I cannot bear that opening.EDIT: Nvm the opening is bearable and the drydown is actually delicious. Love it.”
“I absolutely love this fragrance. The cherry opening is smoky and rich. It disappears after about half an hour and then the leather takes over. I can barely detect the oud, but that’s OK. Projection and sillage are moderate on this one, but the projection is a good 7 to 12 hours. It’s intimate, and it smells expensive because it is.”
“This is your typical rose/oud combo with an overtone of cherries. Not bad, but not great either. I would have liked the cherry to be more fresh and sour, while now it's more of a syrupy medicinal cherry accord to my nose. Both longevity and sillage are great. However to me this scent doesn't justify it's price tag.”

The clone's cherry accord is more synthetic and linear, while longevity is slightly shorter (6-7 hours vs 8-10 hours). Sillage is marginally reduced, and the base becomes noticeably sweeter and less balanced compared to the original's elegant amber-oud closure.

The clone delivers similar longevity but projects less refined sillage, with a more pronounced spice note and less balanced heart-base transition. Afrah Cherry reads slightly more linear and less sophisticated than the layered complexity of the original Guerlain composition.

Sillage
The clone's cherry note may project more aggressively and linger longer, while the oud-agarwood base appears less complex and refined compared to the original's layered, powdery dry-down enhanced by ambroxan. Longevity and sillage are typically 10-15% less impressive on the clone.
