“I have read somewhere along the comments basically saying "cumin note should be banned from the fragrance world". Amen sister/brother! Like tobacco&mandarine together was not interesting enough? The richness and smokiness of tobacco plus the zest&sour-sweet juice of mandarine sounds great. Why bury this potential in cumin? If it was an attempt for better longevity&sillage, imho it was not worth it. All there is left in terms of longevity is cumin and for sillage, it almost doesn't exist. And for that price point?? Come on Zara, dupe this one. You will do much better.”

“I’m usually not interested in bashing on scents, but this one is really less than impressive. Byredo is not my favorite house to begin with, as many of their scents disagree with my skin. But Tobacco Mandarin is extremely pale and flat, well uninspired even. It’s quite dry to my nose and has a paper like quality to it. Not fine handmade linen paper, but rather a cheap basic office printer variety. Longevity is ok for a Byredo, though.Like many commenters have stated already, it’s simply not worth the price.”

“My first approach to Byredo was this .Tobacco Mandarin is an exuberant mix of spices and of course, tobacco. Opens up very strong but falls a little short in silage , it’s sensual and warm , very close to Chergui but less soft .But there’s a problem, the price . I was expecting a true beast for such a high price, I mean .. $330 USD for 50ml , a juice that doesn’t react as an extrait.The composition is beautiful but needs a master longevity to compensate that excessively high price. I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it.”
