Best Byredo Tobacco Mandarin Dupe
Tobacco D'Feu captures the citrus-tobacco balance of the original reasonably well, though the mandarin opening is slightly sharper and less refined. The heart notes follow a similar trajectory with tobacco and geranium prominent, but the clone lacks some of the nuanced floral complexity found in Byredo's composition. The dry-down is comparable with vetiver and cedar providing structure, though overall projection and longevity appear slightly softer than the designer version.
The clone's citrus top is brighter and more abrasive, with less smoothness in the transition to the tobacco heart. Longevity and sillage are noticeably lighter, making Tobacco D'Feu feel less prominent on skin compared to the original's stronger presence.
