Lamasat Oud captures the woody-spiced DNA of Oud Wood reasonably well, with a comparable oud and sandalwood heart that maintains decent longevity. However, the opening feels slightly less refined, with the spice notes appearing more muted, and the overall composition lacks some of the original's sophisticated nuance and balanced complexity in the dry-down.
The clone delivers similar base notes but with reduced projection and a less crisp top accord; Oud Wood's signature peppery opening is softened in Lamasat Oud, and the mid-stage transition feels less seamless.
