Italiano Nero captures the spicy-sweet character of Black Xs reasonably well, with comparable cardamom and praline accords in the heart. However, the clone tends to soften the woody-amber base slightly, making it feel less bold and smoky than the original's darker projection. Longevity and sillage also fall noticeably short of the designer version.
Armaf's version lacks the deep black amber richness and intensity of the original, resulting in a lighter, less lasting composition. The top notes are slightly brighter and the overall scent feels more linear rather than evolving through distinct phases.
