“This is said to be a clone of Manceras Red Tobacco (never smelled it).To my nose the opening is an extremely powerful boozy tobacco (resembling a mix of Serge Lutans Chergui and the original Spicebomb). The dry down (a few hours later) is similar to Bvlgaris Man in Black, only way stronger. It gets spicier, peppery.This lasts 12+ hours and projects heavily almost as long. Monstrous performer.Not a bad fragrance, just not my taste.”
“Hafez 1984 has an unusual opening. I don't know if I'd call it repulsive. It just ain't good. The first thing that came to mind was as if someone made tobacco brownies or tobacco cake. Luckily, it only lasts about 5 minutes. After that, I was in heaven. Awesome tobacco fragrance with a touch of sweetness and really nice vanilla, booze and earthiness. Very masculine scent. Performance is spectacular. Strong sillage and projection while longevity for me was excellent at 12 hours. Definitely getting a bottle of this one. Highly recommended if you like tobacco fragrances.”
“I think this is identical to Mancera Red Tobacco. Lovely scent with great performance. Lasts for 12+ hours.Mancera is $82 for 120 mL when in stock at Fragrancebuy.ca but this is $60 for 55 mL, thus making the clone more expensive per mL than the original! I have both and love both. No regrets.”
