Peony & Blush Suede

“I was a bit wary to try this one, as suede notes usually make me nauseous for some reason. This one fortunately doesn’t; it’s pretty subtle and helps ground the florals. It also makes this fragrance smell like a scented plastic toy from the 90s. I don’t know why sniffing plastic (and markers, and stickers) was so big back then, but this smells just like the girly plastic toys I had as a kid that were floral scented.I like that this is a warm floral rather than a freshie or oriental. But as with all Jo Malone colognes, the performance isn’t worth full retail price.”

“It is very pleasant and not overpowering. Soft, floral and leans feminine. I'm not getting much powder, but I am getting a good strong peony with some white musk. Nothing indolic/jasmine. Getting just a hit of rose.It fades withing 3 hours. After 6 hours I still smell the musky peony but very close to the skin.Spring, summer, maybe autumn. Not really worth the price for the longevity or sillage.Update after 12 hours: It smells like a weaker, more pleasant Rose Cherie from Guerlain.”

“It's growing on me. I am not keen on the suede but it does give the perfume a more unisex vibe which is pleasant and appropriate for this cold Autumn weather. Doesn't project much. It does last a long time but it is mainly the suede note that stays. I wish the peony would hang around more. I find the suede sours on my skin over time but I have gotten compliments on this one.Definitely office appropriate and good for daily wear. Nice heavy and elegant bottle.I am surprised others have marked this Summer Spring, it seems obviously an Autumn Winter cold scent to me.”
