“I compared side by side with a GIT sample. You can tell a difference, but it’s so subtle that I doubt anyone would actually check you on it. CW has a more synthetic smell, whereas GIT smells like quality ingredients. The price gap is outstanding, but I personally would not wear this as an alternative solely because of the performance. Yes it smells exactly like GIT, but after 30min on skin, it’s gone. But for the price, it’s a good spray if you’re only needing to smell good for a very short while, say a haircut or grocery shopping.”
“Smells super clean, refreshing, and masculine. Almost like a shower gel. Pretty long lasting as I can still notice in on my wrist after a day in the office. Strong projection in the summer - it can definitely fill up a room in warmer temperatures - but still grounded enough in the woody notes for wear in colder weather. Got it as a gift, and while I didn’t love it at first and thought it felt dated, it’s really grown on me. Gets compliments.”
“The original aquatic freshie and easily the best bargain of that segment. It's not as complex as its 90's descendant, Acqua di Gio, but the two have similar structures and dry downs. Cool Water has less citrus notes but smells more aquatic than AdG does. Both last for several hours on the skin but it's faint after four hours here in Florida's high heat and humidity.My tester: 2.5 oz bottle purchased at Walgreens for $9 in 2022. Replaced a 2.5 oz bottle received as a gift in 1991.My rating: Aquatic scents: 7/10. Bargains: 10/10. Hot summer days and nights.”
