Rose Incense

“Probably one of the most intelligent roses I've smelled. The "Ink" note is very present on first smell but as you learn the fragrance, it helps highlight the liveliness of the rose. Everything in this fragrance is constructed around the rose, giving it different glimpses of life through the opening, mid-dry down, to full dry down.”

“Impressive opening of frankincense and ink, followed by rose and resin. During the transition from top to mid, it reminds me a bit of Portrait of a lady by Dominique Rupion. Well balanced, well blend until the Woodsy dry down. I enjoyed the sharp edged scent of rose and resin combination. Above average sillage and longivity. Love it. Recommended.”

“Strong, but pleasant, rose and incense opening (as expected, I guess:D) which stays pretty much consistent throughout, except that a slight bitterness shows up in the dry down and makes the scent more interesting. I like the scent, but do I want to smell like this for full days? Not sure. I love incense, and have a small roller ball with Sanna Jardin's Incense Water which I use exclusively for bed, but this Amouage feels a bit too much for me personally, I don't see myself reaching for it.”
