“Smells like 90% similar to By the Fireplace. Just goes to show when you give a “master” perfumer free reign for a niche brand it won’t exactly equal something stunning and original. This smells like candy coated chocolate aromachemicals. It’s one dimensional, boring, and did I mention sweet?”

“I have the same issue with this as with Akro Morning, the coffee one: it's incredibly realistic and interesting for the first ten minutes, but then it fades into a drydown that's closer to some caramel/nutty flavored milk/coffee drink than the coffee or chocolate that was present in the opening. The drydown here is not the same, but there are some definite similarities between them.”

“A bitter chocolate and vanilla inventionsimilar in kind to Maison Tahite’s ‘Cacao2’but with considerably less heft and longevity.I sprayed the Akro fragrance on my leftwrist and Tahite’s on the right withinmoments of one another and ten minuteslater the former had all but disappearedinto a dusty shadow of the opening,while the latter was still throbbing withrich chocolatey goodness.Is it wrong to expect a bit more ofDark at this price point. I think not.I’ll pass on this one.”
