“Got this because someone said it’s very similar to Santal 33 and while it’s not an exact dupe, I totally get the similarities. I enjoy this and find that it’s a great value-for-money, slightly edgy scent. To me, it’s a tiny bit more feminine than Santal 33. Though the scent feels more like a cool weather scent, I actually wore this on a beach vacation and found it to have great projection and longevity in warm weather (or sweaty skin).”
“To me this is exactly santal 33. If you cannot afford to buy le labo this is a perfect alternative. It is less dry than santal 33, and slightly more fresh. wont last a very long time but its nice for daily wear. It smells like a bitter leathery scent with a touch of freshness. Leans 60/40 masculine but not in a bad way, It just doesn't have any sweetness or softness to it. It is a very corporate smell, something to wear during the day, but not really for night time. Overall I like it, and its worth the price.”
“Am I the only one getting a sharp citrus or something in the opening? It's not the cardamom. It's quite pronounced too, so much so I barely get any jasmine, if at all. I definitely get the nod to Santal 33 in the drydown, but this one I feel is muskier, more feminine. But these two perfumes are composed so differently it wouldn't be right to call one a dupe of the other. Santal 33 is superior in every way, but for the price, Energetically New York is a steal (if only I can skip the ridiculously sharp opening and get straight to the sandalwood).”
