“is this a 1:1 to the original? no. but i do think its the closest we have at this price point now. less synthetic opening than precieux. less sweeter and more depth in the drydown toning down the moss and amping the leather note up a bit seems to make this cleaner and smoother. decent longevity of about 8-9 hrs with good performance for about 7 before becoming a skin scent so far for hr 8 and 9. Fantastic stuff.”

“Upon first impressions, the smell profile is definitely good. The opening is a little screechy and synthetic but the dry down is very nice. The only issue is the performance. I get maximum 6 hours on skin but it only projects for maybe 1 to 2 on my skin, i really have to dig my nose in my skin in order to smell it. Maybe it needs to macerate but the performance is really disappointing. IMO it doesnt come close to the level that the OG is at, but for the price it may be worth it for some, cant say im a huge fan.”

“Vanguard - Precieux- Collectors Edition all three have great juicy citrus photorealistic openings but what sets the difference is the try down. Vanguard and Precieux with have similar dry down with spicy woods with a small hint of moss. EC was a floral mossy dry down I didn't really fancy. Vanguard longevity from straight out the box, can still smell after 7 hours. Definitely going to let it mature for a good month. accuracy on Aventus Absolu is around 80%.”
