Ana Abiyedh Rouge successfully captures the spicy-woody DNA of Baccarat Rouge 540, with comparable saffron brightness and woody depth. However, the clone tends to feel slightly less refined in the jasmine heart, with a more linear development compared to the original's complex unfolding. The base performs similarly, though the amberwood projection feels marginally softer in the Lattafa interpretation.
The clone matches the original's structure well but exhibits noticeably shorter longevity (4-5 hours vs 6-8 hours) and reduced sillage. The heart notes lack the sophisticated interplay of the designer version, presenting a more straightforward spiced-wood profile.
What people who wear Lattafa Ana Abiyedh Rouge report, based on votes and reviews from a large fragrance community.
“Some decent correspondence with BR540, definitely in the opening. The similarity diminishes over time, as it becomes increasingly one-dimensional (simply sweet).Fair performance, at 6-7 hours longevity. There are better dupes out there, but no complaints about this given the small change I paid for it.”
“It’s an excellent BR540 dupe for the price! There is more pear in here and it’s prominent, but it doesn’t detract from the original scent. I’m going to piggyback on a couple other reviews and also tell you that with this perfume, you are not going to get the “ethereal” quality of the original. It’s great for everyday wear and lasts about 6 hours.”
“I bought it as a cheaper version of Baccarat Rouge, and after having the original BR540 and BR540 extrait, I really struggle to smell any similarity between them and Ana Abiyedh Rouge. So I checked the notes and wow - not surprising that it doesn’t smell like BR. It doesn’t have the Saffron and Jasmine, and it has plenty of fruit that are not in BR540, so where is the similarity?”
