Zenith Tobacco captures the essential DNA of Tobacolour's spicy tobacco and leather character quite well, with a comparable citrus opening and warm vanilla-sandalwood base. However, the clone lacks the sophisticated complexity and subtle ambroxan depth that gives the original its polished, refined feel. The longevity and sillage are respectable but fall slightly short of the designer version's projection.
The original has greater longevity (8+ hours vs 6-7 hours) and a more nuanced base with ambroxan complexity that the clone doesn't quite replicate. Zenith Tobacco reads slightly more linear with less of the original's subtle sweetness and refinement in the dry-down.
