Savage Water captures the fresh citrus and pepper opening reasonably well, with a comparable lavender-forward heart that delivers that signature Sauvage DNA. However, the base lacks the depth and complexity of the original's labdanum, resulting in a slightly thinner dry-down that doesn't maintain the same woody sophistication.
The clone performs adequately in projection and longevity but falls short in base note complexity and sillage compared to the original. Savage Water reads slightly sharper and less refined due to reduced ambroxan presence and missing labdanum sweetness.
