Salvo captures the bright, peppery citrus opening and clean lavender heart of Sauvage quite effectively, making it a solid budget alternative. However, the base feels slightly thinner and less complex, lacking some of the depth and warmth that Sauvage's labdanum and fuller ambroxan accord provide.
The clone delivers comparable top and middle notes but has a noticeably shorter longevity and reduced projection compared to the original. The woody-amber base in Salvo feels more linear and less nuanced, missing some of the creamy sweetness that makes Sauvage's dry-down memorable.
