Hunter by Armaf captures the bright citrus and peppery opening of Sauvage quite effectively, with a comparable lavender-forward heart. However, the base lacks the warmth and depth of the original's labdanum, resulting in a slightly thinner dry-down that doesn't quite match Sauvage's longevity and richness.
Hunter performs similarly in the opening but falls short in base development and overall longevity, lacking some of the woody-amber complexity that defines Sauvage's signature. The clone is noticeably lighter in projection and sillage after 4+ hours.
