“I tested this side by side with the original and I am really impressed. I would say its about 90-95% close. IG is a tad bit greener, while GIT is slightly creamier. As far as longevity, I feel like IG edges out slightly. It lasts around 7 hours on my skin BUT the last 3-4 hours are a bit of skin scent, but definitely there. GIT lasts around 4-5 hours with last 2 hours being a skin scent. Overall this is a fantastic clone, and definitely smells like GIT, unlike many clones that smell more like cool water.”
“Had a bottle of Green Irish Tweed recently and it was underwhelming in the performance arena. In fact, performance was downright poor and the bottle was nowhere worth the price being asked. Problem was that I loved the scent and wanted a good alternative, so I tired a bottle of Alexandria's The Irish Gentleman, and I must say that it smells great. The dry down is basically what I would be looking for from GIT, and the longevity is much better than GIT.Highly recommended over GIT as an alternative.”
