“On me I get a burst of green, fresh citrus in the opening. Then it smells kinda like tea but with some oakmoss. I get a more prominent black tea with this compared to Wulong Cha and The Yulong. This has a stronger tea projection for 2 hours and then has a dry down with subtle projection. But this was barely detectable by the 4 hour mark. I think tea scents are just not long lasting enough for my preferences, though I enjoy them.”
“Dear Polly is a very sultry, attractive evening scent to me, mostly because of the musk. Quite strong projection and longevity for just a couple sprays. Personally, I would not wear Polly as an office scent or day time. While I really enjoy the scent, I do wish the fresh opening notes lasted longer into the dry down, as the musk does become borderline too animalic for me. I won't buy a full bottle, but maybe will buy another tester once my current is out.”
“The opening is like opening a bag of loose-leaf Assam tea. The apple soon makes an appearance and the fragrance slowly dries down to a very calming and quite fantastic ambery black tea. Very well done, IMO. I bought it for myself (on Mercari. Don't pay full price) and my wife sprays it on herself quite often so it's safely unisex. A must-try for tea lovers. 4 sprays is more than enough and it will last several hours.If you layer the dry down with a citrus scent like Jo Malone's Orange Blossom Cologne, it smells like a wonderful spicy tea rose.”
