“The opening of this smells exactly like an arabian/indian spice market, just a super dry spicy smell to my nose and the drydown the spice tones down a little bit and the amber smell comes out more. Personally not for me since i find it a hard to wear but if you are bold and more outgoing i think this is a good choice. The longevity is amazing and the projection js really good as well but please do NOT wear this in summer.”
“Current batches have very weak performance, the scent disappears very quickly and the amber note is very faint, it's like Ambre Sultan does not have a drydown anymore. Still a very original fragrance.”
“Ambre Sultan is my desert island perfume. When all the others are dead and gone, if I'm allowed nothing else, this is the one I'm taking with me. I love all of it, from the dried herbs up top to the warm, vanillic, highly animalic drydown that lasts for hours. Just bought myself a third bottle, this time with the vintage Palais Royal logo, as the original is a bit more skanky than the most recent version. I wear this fragrance at least once a week and it garners more compliments than anything else I own.”
