“Anyone who says they like the opening but not the dry down simply doesn’t like oud. This is a very nice fragrance, surprisingly complex for Dior, feels like a more niche fragrance profile than Dior has put out in the past. The opening is extremely similar to elixir, but the dry down turns into this dark woody oud fragrance which isn’t for everyone, but I personally love it. Definitely not a safe blind buy, insane longevity and silage like all sauvage.”
“Very masculine leaning, strong, great depth kind of a scent. I wore it today in 97 degree weather and my wife said she could smell me as we were walking to grab dinner. Therefore, the sillage scent bubble is accounted for. 8 hours later it’s still dancing around my nose when I turn my head. I give this a 9/10 all around smell, sillage and longevity. I own the original and it smells nothing like it. This is a new cologne and I like it just as I like the original. Is it better? I think so.”
“Here it is. I’ll say it: this is a failure. A complete destruction of the line. They tried to make it more masculine and more niche, but they failed. This is no longer a compliment magnet. It’s not worth the asking price and, quite honestly, it’s badly executed. I don’t know what they were thinking.Do not buy it thinking you’re going to get compliments from the ladies. You won’t.”
