“Something in the opening reminds me of household cleaner. It mellows down immediately , but for a second it smells like harsh cleaners.I like this a lot, but given the price and longevity it’s not something I would say is a must have. I was so curious to know what this dna smelled like, given the hype, and was underwhelmed. It’s very nice and I can even say I love it but not enough to buy a full flanker but would not be mad if I got it as a gift.”
“It smells fresh and clean, exactly how you would want to smell like on a hot summer day. The opening is sparkling in a very pleasing way and it dries down to a pretty aromatic. It stays open and cool, but a tad generic for its price in my opinion. There's a lovely, gentle floral sweetness that gets balanced by a bit of fresh spice, making it a true unisex, maybe slightly masculine-leaning on me. Sadly, just 3 hours and it becomes a skin scent.Don't get me wrong, it's good! I had higher expectations though.”
“My friend swears by this as her daily scent. I was ignoring her suggestion. I finally tried first with the hand cream, which is too light and unassuming. Then I just blind bought and got the 50ml bottle. I don't love it but I like it enough to make it my daily, unassuming smell. Like, "I don't want to attract attention but I want to smell like something."It might just be me but I smell like creamy mango. What Blanche is to many, Bal d'Afrique is to me. It is the only perfume I spray generously without fear of getting dizzy.”

Sillage
The clone typically has slightly less sillage and longevity compared to the original, and the transition between heart and base notes feels more abrupt rather than the original's seamless evolution.

The clone performs adequately in longevity but lacks the original's subtle complexity and natural progression through the fragrance layers. Sillage is comparable, though the original maintains better refinement in the base notes.
