Amber is Great

“It has that Erba Pura DNA. And for a dupe, I like this one more than Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition. Al Haramain has a more beautiful opening, a brighter fresh opening. But it dries down too quickly and within 30 minutes to 1 hour, you left with very subtle fruity notes, it becomes dominantly musky and woody. Amber is Great can maintain the fruit notes just fine so the dry down is more fresh than Al Haramain’s. Also Amber is Great is cheaper.”

“Yes, it hits the nail on the head w/the main accords, kind of synthetic opening, expected at this price point, dries down nicely - no complaints. Here's the issue. It's significantly a lesser Amber mesmerizing bomb than Altamir Ted Lapidus (which compliments the amber forward accord with neroli & vanilla). I think they're about the same price point, except Altami punches 3x+ its weight.”

“I just got this and it smells just like female milky bodywash. Smell is very weak. Dont smell any spice in this.EditI let this macerate for a while and the scent has change quite a bit and is a little stronger now. I can feel the spices and must a bit now. There's a lot more citrus notes in there too now. Still smells like shampoo.”
