“Well, it's not necessarily like Layton. Layton is in your face vanilla heavy lavender scent. This one is more subtle and it's based on violet, vanilla is waaaay in the back. Also Layton is twice as expensive.Violet Charade is about duh...violet. It's not overly sweet and is also a bit juicy. I spray it a lot and often layer it with something less approachable. The price is a big plus. Longevity and sillage are mediocre but not bad.”
“i read on the brand’s website that this is inspired by the novel “a thousand and one nights” and it makes sooo much sense. it’s dark and mysterious and it has an oriental feel. violet mixed with patchouli is the basis of the scent and i believe this will be great for a fall-winter date night, i find it seductive and there’s a kind of eroticism about it. it definitely smells niche and kind of “dusty” so in my mind, this will be paired greatly with a tobacco scent, as it gives off the same smoky vibe. worth trying it out.”
“I really liked it. I have as a sample and as soon as I applied it, I began to like it. Lemon is constantly felt, then something pine comes in. Suprisingly good although I usually don`t like oriental perfumes.”
