Best Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Dupe
Glacier Le Noir captures the spicy-sweet DNA of Le Male quite well, with a faithful representation of the caraway and cinnamon heart notes that define the original. However, the base feels slightly less complex and woody compared to Le Male's deeper cedar and amber interplay, resulting in a slightly shorter dry-down. The overall projection and silage are respectable but don't quite match the designer's assertive presence.
Glacier Le Noir delivers ~80% of Le Male's character at a fraction of the cost, but with marginally thinner base notes and shorter longevity (5-6 hours vs 7-8 hours on Le Male). The opening freshness is nearly identical, but the fragrance lacks some of the sophisticated woody depth that makes the original distinctive.
