“The open is a noticeably different from BTFP although on drydown it's like 90% similar and I doubt most people smelling it on you could tell the difference. With price and performance considered this is easily one of my best blind buys and I don't feel the need to own BTFP anymore.I would agree this leans a little more masculine than the original which is fine for me as I'm very masculine. And as you've assume this is going to be a very cold/night kind of scent not something you'd ever wear in summer.”

“This was a blind buy and I don't know what By the fireplace smells like.A woody, smokey scent with a note that reminds me of something fruity and Coca Cola and definitely a leather note. I'm not fan of oud but this one I like. Not too much woody/oudy. Excellent longevity, projection also quite good. It lasts 6+ hours on my skin and much longer on clothes. Beautiful winter fragrance.What's fascinating to me is that I immediately recognized that scent at first sniff - Woodwick candle Indigo Suede which smells identical! And I love, love that candle in winter time.”
