Sultan The Conqueror captures the smoky incense and woody character of Black Incense Malaki reasonably well, with a similar oud-forward middle and warm base. However, the clone tends to feel slightly less refined in the incense projection, with a more linear development that lacks some of the original's complexity and depth. The longevity is comparable, though Fragrance World's version may project with less sillage in the opening phase.
The original has a more sophisticated incense accord with better nuance, while the clone presents a more straightforward interpretation. Sultan The Conqueror also exhibits slightly softer projection and a less prominent top note brightness compared to Chopard's more assertive opening.
