“I was intrigued by the Sahara Noir comparison so I picked this up. I can definitely percieve some big differences in the opening - this lacks the sort of syrupy sweetness of SN, and is a bit rougher/clunkier in composition. It’s almost like similar notes, but EQed differently, however as they dry down, there’s more similarity. This is not quite as nice (how could it be?) but it’s pretty decent. There’s something in the opening I find a little off putting, but it’s very nice in latter stages, a subtle smoky incense.”
“Cypress and Tunisian frankincense. That is the essence of this scent. This could easily be a release from a niche house. Projection is moderate/high . Sillage seems to be very good for an incense scent. I really enjoy this, as it shares a similar heart with my beloved Sahara Noir. It smells more like Tom Ford - Amber Absolute. A real steal at this price point.Blind buy safe if you like Tunisian frankincense.”
