Trillium by Emir captures the fresh, clean citrus opening and the elegant ambroxan-forward dry-down of Elysium reasonably well, making it a serviceable budget alternative. However, the clone lacks some of the refined complexity and subtle violet nuance that defines the original's sophisticated character, resulting in a slightly flatter overall profile. Longevity and sillage are also noticeably softer compared to Roja Dove's formulation.
The clone delivers a more linear, less complex scent with weaker projection and shorter longevity than the original. Emir's version misses some of the delicate floral undertones and the polished ambroxan quality that makes Elysium stand out in the designer fragrance category.
