Metropolis Hot Lips captures the bright, fresh citrus opening and floral heart of Nolita reasonably well, with similar bergamot and peony characteristics. However, the base feels slightly warmer and more amber-forward compared to the original's cleaner woody-musk finish, resulting in a marginally sweeter overall projection that doesn't quite match the sophisticated restraint of the Bond No.9 original.
The clone's base leans more amber and sandalwood-heavy while lacking some of the woody refinement of the original, and the mid-stage floral appears slightly less refined. Longevity and sillage are comparable, though the clone reads slightly sweeter overall.
