Poseidon's Elixir 20J captures the fruity-fresh opening and creamy base of Aventus quite effectively, with the pineapple and bergamot duo hitting very similar territory. However, the clone lacks the distinctive oak moss and ambergris complexity found in the original, resulting in a slightly more linear and less nuanced dry-down that feels more synthetic in comparison.
The clone's base performs adequately but substitutes ambroxan for the original's ambergris, losing some of that prized animalic warmth and projection. Longevity and sillage are decent but slightly inferior to genuine Aventus, particularly in the later stages where the original's layered base notes shine through.
