Armaf's Hunter captures the creamy floral and woody character of L.12.12. White reasonably well, with similar ylang-ylang and tuberose heart notes balanced against cedar and leather. However, the clone lacks the subtle suede softness and rosemary freshness of the original, resulting in a slightly more straightforward and less nuanced fragrance overall.
Hunter trades the original's refined suede and aromatic rosemary elements for a more generic musk base, and the opening citrus feels less bright. Longevity and sillage are generally comparable, but the clone reads as slightly warmer and less sophisticated.
