Derby Club House captures the fresh citrus brightness and herbaceous middle of Pour Homme quite effectively, with solid longevity for a clone. However, it falls slightly short on the complexity of the original's floral heart and doesn't quite replicate the subtle rose de mai and tonka bean sweetness that gives Pour Homme its distinctive character.
Derby Club House tends to be slightly less refined and smooth than the original, with a more linear progression and slightly less depth in the base. The opening is nearly identical, but the heart notes lack some of the original's elegance and the dry-down is noticeably less creamy and sophisticated.
