“I have read all the hype about this fragrance. It smells ok. What is disappointing is that it lasts 2-3 hours tops. The performance is underwhelming. What's the use of buying fragrance that one has to respray after 2 hours? If this is what Ingenious Ginger smells like, that's fine. But for that price? No. I was really expecting something more from this dupe.”
“I've never smelled ingenious ginger before but as a fragrance rather than a dupe, this is beautiful. It opens up with pure ginger, orange and vanilla, then dries down even more vanillic and musky. It's not at all synthetic which I thought it might be. The longevity could be better though, I'd say I get around 4-5 hours which I suppose is pretty standard for a summer scent. Very average projection but still gets compliments.”
“I ordered both this and Ravine Ginger (I thought the Aristo was lost in transit but it appeared a week late). I don't know Ingenious Ginger, but I wanted something ginger-y for warmer weather, and both scents do the trick. If I had to choose, I'd go with the Aristo; it's a little spicier, so the opening has a little more zing. They both dry down to a lovely vanilla, but I'd say the Aristo lasts on skin a bit longer. On its own, a wonderful scent for a great price.”
