Junoon Oud captures the citrusy brightness and spiced aromatic character of the original Bvlgari, but diverges significantly by introducing a prominent oud note that wasn't in the designer fragrance. While the top notes align reasonably well with the fresh citrus opening, the heart and base lack the refined floral complexity and balanced woody elegance of the original, leaning instead toward a heavier, oud-forward composition.
The clone substitutes the original's sophisticated iris and tea notes with oud, creating a distinctly different character that's more Oriental and woody rather than aromatic-fresh. Longevity and projection also differ, with Junoon Oud typically performing stronger but less refined than the original's measured performance.
