Plumlicious captures the fruity-spiced character of Plum Japonais reasonably well, with a prominent plum and saffron opening that mimics the original's distinctive profile. The heart notes maintain the floral-spiced balance, though the immortelle tends to read slightly sweeter and less sophisticated than Tom Ford's version. The base follows suit with comparable woody-amber warmth, but lacks some of the original's depth and refinement in the oud-vanilla interplay.
Dua's clone slightly overshoots the sweetness in the heart and base, making it feel less refined and slightly more linear than the original. Longevity and sillage are moderately close but the designer version has superior projection and evolution over time.
