King of Oudhania captures the bright citrus opening and woody-herbal heart of Royal Oud reasonably well, with comparable cedar and sandalwood base notes. However, the clone tends to emphasize the oud more prominently throughout the wearing experience, whereas the original balances it more subtly within a refined herbal framework. The musk separation and overall sophistication of Creed's composition is difficult to replicate at clone price points.
The clone pushes oud forward more aggressively, creating a darker, more linear scent compared to Royal Oud's complex herbal-citrus interplay. Longevity and sillage are generally good but lack the refined projection curve of the original.
