Bucephalus No. IX captures the salty-woody character of Viking quite well, with a solid representation of the bergamot opening and driftwood-rose heart. The base performs competently with sandalwood and oakmoss, though the ambergris warmth feels slightly muted compared to Creed's richer, more animalic finish.
The clone lacks the depth and complexity of the original's ambergris accord, resulting in a slightly thinner base. Longevity and sillage are marginally reduced, though the top and middle notes track closely to the designer fragrance.
